City Construction Co., Inc. has
started construction on the new Magdalene House in Nashville, TN. Magdalene is a non-profit organization formed in 1997, and is a
residential housing and recovery program for women with a criminal history
of prostitution and drug abuse. The home will be a safe harbor and
support center where women of Magdalene can live and recover in
community. Residents are provided shelter and care for up to two
years while achieving their goals of drug/alcohol recovery, legal
employment, safe housing, and improved social
functioning. The program has
achieved an 87% success rate for its residents. Primarily women
volunteers have provided all of the architectural, engineering, and design
work for the project. The new six-bedroom home is designed to
accommodate up to eight residents. Rock City is proud to be involved
