GROUNDBREAKING FOR THE CITY OF FRANKLIN MUNICIPAL SERVICES CENTER On October 11th, 2002, the City of Franklin broke ground for the new Municipal Services Complex on Century Court in Franklin, TN. Rock City Construction was selected by the City of Franklin to serve as Construction Manager on the project. Rock City Construction appreciates Franklin's selection of our firm to perform this service for the City, and we look forward to working with the City of Franklin, Stantec, and the various trade contractors to make this a successful project for all. The entire project covers approximately 20 acres, and is slated to be completed in two phases. Phase I is to include: a Solid Waste Transfer Station and a Solid Waste Collection Operations Center for the Solid Waste Department; a Firing Range is scheduled for the Police Department; Fire Training Towers are designed for the Fire Department; a Training Center Building; and Covered Truck Shelters are also included. Phase II plans consist of a city-wide Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Facility, an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course, and additional Covered Truck Shelters. The design firm for the project is Stantec in Nashville, TN. The plans are currently undergoing final review before being issued for bid, while Rock City is in the process of preparing the various bid packages for issuance to prospective bidders. |
