MR. DILLARD RETIRES:

Floyd "Ace" DillardMr. Dillard on the "green"Floyd “Ace” Dillard, has retired from Rock City Construction.  Mr. Dillard hired on with Rock City in 1951 as an apprentice carpenter.   After Forty-eight years with the company,  Mr. Dillard has decided that he wants to spend some much deserved time playing golf, raising grandkids, and tending to his yard and garden.

During his tenure at Rock City he has worn many hats including carpenter, foreman, superintendent, general superintendent, safety director, and ambassador on the golf course.  However, he will be most missed for his practical advice and words of encouragement.  He has helped train every employee and has a large impact upon all.   He was instrumental in the creation of our safety program, which has helped to provide safer jobsites for us all.

He has witnessed changes in the construction industry as well as in this company.  Hopefully in his new found free time he will take the opportunity to write his memoirs and reflect upon the past, and give us some advice for the future.   But most of all we hope that enjoys whatever he does.  He has worked hard and deserves some R & R.  We will miss him but wish him well in all his future endeavors and hope that he visits us often.
